Weber State: Weber State is actively seeking applicants for the UNPAID internship program the SUMMER of 2020. The internship program will run from MAY 18 TH thru JULY 31 ST . Interns will gain practical experience working in a Strength and Conditioning Setting. Over the course of the semester interns can expect to work early morning, late afternoon, or weekend hours. As an intern you can expect to assist with all team training sessions. Gain valuable knowledge and experience via, exercise selection/progression/regression, facility management, and professional development assignments. The goal of the internship program is to develop the skills and coaching experience that prepare successful interns for graduate assistant positions at the conclusion of their time in the program. Requirements: Graduate, or Undergraduate students working towards a degree in exercise science or related field. A strong desire to become a Strength and Conditioning Professional at the Collegiate Level, ability to maintain a flexible and demanding schedule, effective communication and leadership skills in a group setting. Compensation: Academic credit and professional experience only, this is an unpaid internship. Northern State: Northern State University (Aberdeen, SD) is currently accepting applications for two Graduate Assistants in Strength and Conditioning. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting in design and implementation of strength and conditioning programs for assigned sports, communication with coaches, athletic training staff and administration. Candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or a health related field and be working toward certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association or the SCCC through the CSCCa. Previous strength and conditioning internship experience preferred. Compensation includes a two thirds tuition waiver and a monthly stipend. Candidates must be admissible to the graduate program; GRE is not required. McNeese State: McNeese State University is now accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Volunteer Interns for Summer 2020 (June 1, 2020-August 15, 2020). Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs specific to all sports (Football & Olympic), proper movement preparation, development and execution of speed & conditioning protocols, and professional development in all areas of strength & conditioning. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Please apply only if this situation is suitable for you. Qualifications: Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCa, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. Candidates must have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study and a strong desire to become a strength and conditioning professional.
