Houston Baptist: HBU’s Athletic Performance Staff is looking for interns for the Fall semester of 2020. We are looking for interns who are highly motivated and passionate about training athletes regarding physical preparation, injury reduction, and most of all character development. Interns will be getting hands on coaching experience at a Division 1 University. Along with working with athletes of various sports, interns will take part in HBU’s in-depth curriculum that covers programing, coaching, knowledge, and personal/spiritual growth. This internship is set on running from early August through early December, but the exact dates are to be determined. Applicants must be seeking to become an Athletic Performance Coach/ Strength and Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field and/or a certification through the NSCA or CSCCA. Although this is an UNPAID internship, we will provide other benefits such as athletic gear. On top of gaining valuable experience, interns will have the opportunity to earn a recommendation for future employment in the field. Coaching experience will consist of working with Football and multiple Olympic sports. Tusculum: Tusculum University is looking for a Graduate Assistant Strength and Conditioning Coach to start in early August. The qualified candidate will be assigned 3-4 teams while also assisting with football. This position offers tuition, housing, and a meal plan for the fall and spring semesters.
