Memphis: The University of Memphis is seeking (3) candidates for the Spring 2021 Football Strength and Conditioning Internship Program (January 14 – April 30). Qualified candidates will have the opportunity to assist the full-time staff with training sessions for football in compliance with NCAA rules. This is an UNPAID opportunity. If this is not an economically feasible option, please do not apply. Potential candidates must possess a strong work ethic, high character, great energy and enthusiasm, strong attention to detail, and the ability to demonstrate effective organizational and communication skills. Candidates must also have a strong desire to obtain a career as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach. This position offers invaluable hands-on experience assisting the staff in all aspects of the strength and conditioning program with the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities. The position is responsible for assisting the football athletic performance staff with the implementation of all phases of the spring program, participating in an educational curriculum, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility. Previous experience in a strength & conditioning program, internship experience, or collegiate athletics experience is preferred but not required. Arkansas State: Arkansas State University Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the Spring 2021 Athletic Performance Internship. Intern responsibilities include: Assisting with the supervision of training programs; Assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; Completion of various educational assignments during the internship. Intern qualifications include: Strong work ethic; Punctuality; Enthusiasm; Desire to further one’s career in the strength and conditioning field. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field; CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification. This is an unpaid internship. Interns will receive experience working in a Sun Belt training environment, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable.
