USF: The University of South Florida is currently accepting applications for 1 INTERNSHIP POSITION during the SPRING 2019 semester. This position is for the SPRING 2019 training session, JAN 7 th – MAY 13 th , with the opportunity to stay longer. Qualified candidates would work with all facets of a NCAA Division 1 BASKETBALL sports performance program. This is an UNPAID position. However, the position offers the opportunity for advancement in the field of strength and conditioning, as well as the fulfillment of credit hours towards a degree program. The position is responsible for assisting the BASKETBALL sports performance staff with the implementation of the program, set up and break down of all workouts, maintenance and upkeep of the weight room and facility, and hands-on experience training collegiate athletes. Required qualifications include completion or current pursuit of an undergraduate degree in exercise science or a related course of study, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, and possess a strong work ethic. Preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body (USAW, CSCS, CSCCa), previous coaching experience and proficiency in teaching and performing Olympic movements. Waldorf: Waldorf University is now accepting applications for Spring Semester 2019. Applicant will work with all 15 varsity sports on campus. Applicant based on experience will program for two Varsity athletic programs underneath the direction of the Director of Strength and Conditioning. Applicant will also work with Football. Preferred to be certified or in the process of being certified. This internship will have a program set up to help Intern gain valuable experience on the floor. Webber International: Webber International University is seeking applicants for a PAID Intern-Assistant position with our nationally recognized program. Our mentorship program is a NSCA approved program where coaches can obtain the necessary 2.0 CEU's for that year. In addition to NSCA approval, the Intern-Assistant will also learn under a CSCCa Approved Mentor. The goal of our department is to grow, educate, and provide the necessary tools for young coaches to begin a career in athletic performance. This position will be compensated with on-campus housing, a full meal plan, WIU gear, & a $250/month stipend. The internship will tentatively run from December 2018 to May 2019. It is anticipated that this position will be the lead assistant on the floor for many of our teams.
