Nicholls State (LA): Nicholls State University is seeking driven applicants with a passion for strength and conditioning for the position of Intern/Volunteer Strength and Conditioning Coach for the 2017 Spring Semester. The position is UNPAID, but applicants can receive academic credits if applicable. Successful candidates will gain experience working with a Division I Strength and Conditioning program for Football and all Olympic Sports offered at Nicholls State University. Candidates will also be in consideration for a recommendation for future employment in the strength and conditioning field throughout the country. Responsibilities will be assigned based on previous experience by the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Candidates are expected to perform daily tasks in addition to coaching duties, such as weight room maintenance and upkeep, nutrition room maintenance, set up and break down for the day, and all internship curriculum assignments. Candidates must have a current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification and be attempting to complete or have completed a degree in exercise science/kinesiology or related field. A Bachelor’s degree in exercise science/kinesiology or strength and conditioning and NSCA CSCS or CSCCA SCCC certification is preferred but not required. Kennessaw State: Kennesaw State Football Strength & Conditioning is looking for interns for SPRING 2017. This is a VOLUNTARY position, no monetary compensation, housing or meals will be provided. Responsibilities include COACHING on the floor & field, attending practice sessions, setup & breakdown of facility, facility maintenance & completion of an in-depth internship curriculum. The ideal candidate will have high energy, strong levels of personal accountability, and a strong desire to become a strength & conditioning coach. The job will start the first week of January & go until the end of semester. Temple: Temple University Department of Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for Spring 2017 Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER INTERNS. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of athletic performance programs for Olympic Sports, facility maintenance and completion of Temple University’s Strength and Conditioning Internship Curriculum.
