Wofford (FCS - SC): Wofford College Strength and Conditioning Department is seeking individuals to fill internship positions for the 2013 fall semester (start date September 02 through end date December 06). Intern basic duties to include but are not limited to the following; work with assigned sports (football and Olympic), participation in the educational program (readings and discussions), collection of data during training sessions, and facility maintenance and upkeep. There will be an opportunity to earn responsibilities with teams based on competency and proactive involvement within the program. This is an unpaid position with benefits coming in the form of experience with Division I athletics, continuing educational opportunities, job recommendation references and college credit (if applicable). Maine (FCS): The University of Maine is seeking applications for 2 Assistant Speed, Strength & Conditioning Coaches. Both are full time, fiscal year positions. Typically has the education associated with a Bachelor;s Degree required, Master's Degree preferred in Exercise Science or related field; excellent organizational, communication, and computer skills required; must possess a current CPR certification at time of hire or must attain one within 1 month of the date of hire; must be a current member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Certified Strength and Conditioning Coach certification is preferred; must demonstrate knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations; ability to lift up to fifty pounds; working knowledge of the repair and maintenance of athletic strength and training equipment; successful supervisory experience; ability to demonstrate and communicate proper spotting and lifting techniques. Pre-employment physical required.

Jacksonville (FCS - FL):Jacksonville University Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for (2) Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER INTERNS. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for football and all 18 varsity Olympic Sports, daily maintenance and upkeep of equipment in the weight room, assisting in teaching proper technique to student athletes, and professional development. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED; however housing on campus can be provided along with coaching experience at the Division I level.Candidates must have a strong work-ethic and a strong desire to be in the collegiate strength and conditioning coaching field. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor's degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (CSCCA, SCCC; NSCA, CSCS; USAW) are preferred.
