UTSA: UTSA is seeking applicants for an internship position with the Texas at San Antonio strength and conditioning program. There is no monetary compensation provided for these positions and are intended to give interns educational experience. Interns will receive hands on experience with elite collegiate athletes. Interns will be responsible for assisting in the daily maintenance and administrative duties, and helping to implement and properly execute exercise programs with the strength coaches of assigned teams. Submit a cover letter, resume, and reference list of at least 3 professional contacts to Mr. Derrick Jenkins at Deadline for applications is April 17, 2015.

West Florida: The University of West Florida Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting VOLUNTEER internship applications for the 2015 Fall Semester. UWF is located in Pensacola Florida, home to one of the best rated beaches in Florida. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include assisting with supervision of training programs, assisting with daily facility maintenance, and other departmental functions. Intern Qualifications: Strong work ethic; Strong communication skills; Punctuality; Ability to follow directions and Strong desire to learn. Preferred qualifications: certified; CSCS, SCCC, and/or USA W certification. Interns will receive experience working with a variety of sports (including Football and Olympic sports), have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and have the potential to earn hours that qualify as practical experience toward the SCCC certification with the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association. Samford: Samford University Department of Strength and Conditioning is now accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER INTERNS. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for Football and all Olympic Sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and participation in weekly projects and professional development throughout the internship program. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Candidates must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study.
