Albright (D-III - PA): Albright College is seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Strength & Conditioning Intern Coach. Qualifications: BS degree in Exercise Science or related field required. Certification in CPR and First Aid required. Candidates with CSCS will be given preference. Experience as an intercollegiate athlete or working with college athletes preferred. A one school year commitment will be expected by the successful candidate. Duties: Work closely with the Head Strength and Conditioning Coach in developing intercollegiate athletes from 23 sports to reach their full athletic potential. Other duties include: designing specific S&C programs for each sport, setting workout schedules, implementing workouts, coaching athletes on proper technique, reporting testing results and other duties as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach and the Athletic Director. Will consider other coaching duties if there is a good match. Compensation: This intern position includes a $3,500 annual stipend paid over a ten month contract, free off-campus housing (shared with another coach, each in own room), free utilities and free meal plan in campus dining hall. No health insurance or retirement benefits are included with this position. Elon: Elon University Strength and Conditioning is looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for the Fall 2015 semester. The internship will begin August 24th and run through December 12th. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Elon University’s 16 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs, assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties. This is an unpaid internship. However, candidates will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, college credit towards graduation if applicable and be involved in the CSCCa mentorship program necessary to achieve the SCCC certification. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS or USAW certifications; CPR certification. Experience in a Strength and Conditioning Program or have previous collegiate athletics experience is preferred. Having a background in performing and coaching Olympic lifts is preferred.
