Menlo College (NAIA - CA): MENLO COLLEGE (NAIA-CA): Menlo College Department of Athletic Performance is accepting applications for the FALL 2014 Athletic Performance Internship Program. Small Stipend, Daily Lunch and Menlo Gear will be included. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Team responsibilities will include 4 teams, Football, Men’s Basketball, Softball and Men’s Wrestling. Potential Candidates: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s in a related field and at least one of the following Certifications must be in progress: CSCS, SCCC, USAW. Candidates must possess an enthusiastic spirit, strong character, demonstrate effective organization and communication skills and must have a strong willingness to learn and must be a self starter. South Dakota State: The South Dakota State University Sports Performance Department is now accepting applications for Interns for the 2014 Fall Semester. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with the implementation and supervision of strength, speed, agility and conditioning programs for all of SDSU’s athletic programs, assisting with daily maintenance and upkeep of SDSU’s facilities, and other duties assigned by the SDSU Sports Performance Staff. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Ideal candidates will possess or be pursuing an undergraduate in exercise physiology or related field of study and have a strong desire to work in College Strength and Conditioning/Sports Performance. The following certifications (SCCC, CSCS, USAW, PES) as well as experience executing and teaching the Olympic Lifts are preferred. Inquiries must be received by August 1, 2014 for the Fall Semester 2014 (projected internship time line: August 25, 2014 through December 10, 2014). Davidson (FCS - NC): Davidson College is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Head Coach for Strength and Conditioning. This is a full time 12-month position. The successful candidate will oversee the development of a high caliber, strength and conditioning program that serves all our intercollegiate programs and student athletes. Other related duties may be assigned by the Director of Athletics. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree required Master's degree preferred. NSCA/CSCS Certifications required, college experience preferred. The successful candidate shall be a person of integrity with high ethical standards, and exhibit a strict allegiance to university, department, and NCAA rules and regulations, as well as a solid commitment to student achievement in academic and athletics.
