Abilene Christian: Abilene Christian University Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for 2015 Summer Strength and Conditioning Volunteer. This is an UNPAID position. Start date: Sunday May 31st, 2015; End Date: Friday July 31st. Volunteer responsibilities include: Assisting with implementation of strength and conditioning programs at ACU; Assisting with daily operations and facility/equipment maintenance; set up and take down of strength and conditioning facilities for workouts; involvement in an internship education program. And other duties assigned by the strength staff. Central Connecticut State: Central Connecticut State University seeks applicants for the position of Strength and Conditioning Intern for the Summer 2015 semester. Responsibilities: Successful candidates will assist in organizing and implementing movement assessments, exercise technique progressions, dynamic warm-ups, speed & agility training, strength training, flexibility, and performance testing for all student athletes. Interns will also be responsible collecting and interpreting testing data, the daily maintenance of equipment and facilities, and the development of strength & conditioning manuals and instructional videos. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree required or working toward the completion of, First Aid and CPR certified. Certified or working toward the CSCS or other certification and Division I coaching experience. Applications will be accepted until position is filled. Arkansas Tech (D-II): The Strength and Conditioning Department at Arkansas Tech University is accepting VOLUNTEER internship applications for the summer semester. Dates for the internship are May 18 - July 27, 2015. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include assisting with supervision of training programs, assisting with daily facility maintenance, and all other departmental functions. Intern qualifications: Punctuality; Strong communication skills; Experience with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint); Familiar with Apple products (iOS); Attention to detail; Strong work ethic and Ability to follow directions. Akron: The University of Akron Football Strength and Conditioning program is now accepting applicants for an UNPAID summer internship. Responsibilities include but are not limited to set-up and break down during training sessions, overseeing speed, agility, and lifting stations, assisting with the coordination of the nutrition program and weight room maintenance. While there is NO MONETARY COMPENSATION, there is a very rigorous, hands on intern development program to aid your growth as a strength and conditioning coach.
