Georgia: The University of Georgia invites applications for the position of full time, 11 month Intern to the Strength and Conditioning Staff for Olympic Sports, no benefits. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree required and Master’s Degree preferred in exercise physiology, physical education, or related field. Experience in the strength and conditioning field at the intercollegiate level either as an athlete, graduate assistant or a student coach is preferred, have experience with designing and implanting athletic performance programs. Solid knowledge of basic barbell lifts and Olympic lifts along with teaching techniques are a must- functional training skills are beneficial. CSCS or CSCCa and CPR certifications required; USAW Level I certification preferred, experience with functional testing (FMS) and training preferred. Computer literacy especially Excel and Word are essential. This is an 11-month appointment, no benefits. Compensation $16,500. Deadline to apply is May 30th, 2013. Projected sttart date is July 2013.
