Maryland: The University of Maryland Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Staff is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for a strength and conditioning internship opportunity for the Fall 2014 semester. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program as well as daily maintenance of weight room and facilities. Candidates must have a strong work ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates who will be receiving course credit will be given preference. This is an unpaid position, living and transportation arrangements will not be provided. If chosen for this internship opportunity you will receive division 1 experience at a major university in an elite conference, you will be educated on training philosophy, olympic lifting modalities, and how to structure and execute a successful strength and conditioning program. Preferred qualifications; Candidates should have or be working towards attaining their bachelor’s degree, and one of the following certifications; CSCS, SCCC, or USAW.
