Maryland: The University of Maryland Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Staff is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for a strength and conditioning internship for the Spring 2014 Semester. This is an unpaid position, living and transportation arrangements will not be provided. If chosen for this internship opportunity you will gain valuable experience, be educated on training philosophy, olympic lifting modalities, and how to structure and execute a successful strength and conditioning program. Minimum qualifications: Strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should have or be working towards attaining their bachelor’s degree in a related field and at least one of the following Certifications: CSCS, SCCC, USAW. Preferred qualifications: Prior experience, Master’s degree, enrolled in Master’s program. Marshall: The Marshall University Strength and Conditioning Department (Olympic Sports) is seeking motivated individuals to fill 1-2 volunteer coach positions for the Spring 2014 Semester. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Setup, breakdown, and implementation of training programs for 12 intercollegiate teams and assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and facility. This is an unpaid position, but the candidate will gain critical experience working and learning in a Division I setting. The candidate must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and be CPR and First Aid certified. Preferred qualifications: CSCS, USAW, SCCC.
