Maine: University of Maine is currently seeking intern applicants for our Fall 2012 Speed, Strength & Conditioning Internship Program. Responsibilities will begin on or about September 4, 2012 and run through December 14, 2012. Must adhere to the rules of the NCAA, The University of Maine Intercollegiate Athletics Department, Colonial Athletic Association, America East Conference, and the Hockey East Conference. Required qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or a related field, certified in CPR / First Aid, and strong desire to become a College Strength & Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications: Currently pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s) Compensation: This is a non-paid volunteer position. Individuals will gain experience in a Division I collegiate speed, strength & conditioning setting, as well as future recommendation for employment. College credit will be given as approved by their institution. Southeastern Louisiana (FCS): Southeastern is looking to hire a head strength coach (all sports). Master's degree with emphasis in science, exercise physiology, physical education, or athletic training from an accredited university. Certified Strength and Conditioning specialist by the National Strength and Conditioning Association. Applicants must apply online and applications must be received no later than Monday the 13th.
