South Florida: The University of South Florida Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for the Summer of 2012 Athletic Performance Interns. Intern responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of USF’s Division I intercollegiate athletic programs including football and other teams as assigned; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Intern qualifications must include: Strong work ethic; Desire to learn; Enthusiasm; Desire to become a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field; eligible to sit for the CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification. Compensation: There is no monetary compensation provided. FAU: Chuck Lobe has been named strength and conditioning coach. Lobe spent last season at the University of Denver in the same capacity, and the previous three years before that with the Tampa Bay Lightning of the NHL.
