Minimum 3 years of experience in strength & conditioning field is required, preferably at the Division I level. Master’s degree, CSCS and USAW certification is preferred. This position reports to the Director of Strength & Conditioning. The successful candidate must display the highest of ethical standards. Working knowledge and understanding of NCAA rules and procedures is necessary. Football and baseball/softball experience preferred. University of Southern California: Department of Strength & Conditioning is accepting applications for Strength and Conditioning Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants for the Fall Semester of 2011. Responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of the University of Southern California’s strength and conditioning programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance items; completion of educational curriculum and assignments during the internship. Applicants must have a strong work ethic, very reliable, a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional, CPR/First Aid certification and previous coaching experience. Preferred qualifications include: pursuing Bachelors or Masters Degree in Physical Education, Exercise Science or related field; NSCA-CPT, CSCS, SCCC, NASM and/or USAW certifications. Individuals chosen for position are subject to University background checks and standard hiring procedures. This is a Non Paid/Volunteer position. Interns and/or Volunteer Assistants will receive experience working at the Division 1/Pacific 10 Conference level and receive college credit (if applicable).
