Alabama: University of Alabama Strength & Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the position of Strength and Conditioning VOLUNTEER INTERN. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to; assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, teaching student athletes proper technique and equipment use, attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities and participation in weekly projects and professional development throughout the internship program. Compensation: Division 1 experience with earned recommendation for future career opportunities. Potential mentorship opportunity to obtain CSCCa, SCCC certification will be available for some candidates. NO MONETARY COMPENSATION WILL BE PROVIDED. Candidates must have a strong work-ethic and have a desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Ideal candidates will have a bachelor’s degree or be in the last semester of coursework for undergraduate degree in exercise physiology or related field of study. Certification from one or more of the following (NSCA, CSCS; CSCCA, SCCC; USAW) are preferred. Inquiries must be received by April 15th, 2012 for the Summer Semester 2012.
