Houston Baptist University: Houston Baptist, a Division I Christian University in Houston, Texas, is currently seeking a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning (S/C) Coach. Primary responsibilities will include but not be limited to: Serve as S/C Coordinator to assigned sports (to be determined), properly demonstrate all movements and drills associated with S&C program, thoroughly communicate with coaches and sports medicine staff regarding injuries and progress, participate in the daily upkeep of the S/C facility. Requirements include: bachelor’s degree in any Kinesiology discipline (exercise science, physical education, etc.); one to three years experience working as a strength and conditioning coach, intern or volunteer in a college or professional setting. Excellent knowledge of the techniques and programs necessary for a successful sport-specific strength and conditioning program; knowledge of Olympic lifting, functional training and alternative training techniques and methodologies; excellent organizational and administrative skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office software; and demonstrated experience working effectively in a diverse environment. Successful candidates upon acceptance to a graduate program receive a full tuition waiver, Division I strength and conditioning coaching experience, and an earned recommendation towards future employment.
