William Penn (NAIA - IA): William Penn University is currently accepting applications for a Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning coach. This is a 12 month position starting March 16th/May 25th with a two year commitment. Full tuition waiver and a monthly stipend are included. Candidates must be admissible to the graduate program with a minimum GPA of 3.0. Responsibilities include assisting with the design and implementation for a variety of William Penn University’s collegiate sports. The qualified candidate will be assigned sports based on his/her background and experience. The position will also assist the Head Strength & Conditioning coach, help with maintenance of the Randleman Fitness Center, and perform other duties as assigned by the Head Strength & Conditioning Coach. Proven knowledge and experience with sport specific strength, speed, and agility programs is necessary. Candidates must hold a BA/BS in exercise science or a health related field and be working toward certification as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist with the National Strength & Conditioning Association. Candidates with an athletic background or experience (volunteer/intern) in a collegiate strength and conditioning program is preferred. Montana State: The Strength and Conditioning department at Montana State University is currently accepting applications for internship positions for both the Summer 2015 and Fall 2015 semesters. Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and fields for conditioning workouts; daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room and all of its equipment; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. Applicants must be highly self-motivated, able to follow directions, have a desire to learn, and have a strong work ethic. Applicants should be working towards earning their Bachelor’s degree and a certification from NSCA- CSCS, CSCCA, USAW. Interns must be CPR/AED certified. This is an unpaid position, however, volunteers will receive experience working at a Division I program and have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities.
