Wake Forest: Wake Forest University: The Wake Forest University Sports Performance department is currently accepting internship applications for the 2015-2016 academic year. There are 2-3 internship positions available to work with the OLYMPIC Sports programs. Individuals will have the opportunity to gain Division I experience and work with all Olympic Sports teams. The right candidate(s) will be able to work towards completion of CSCCa internship requirement and sit for the CSCCa certification exam. All applicants must have completed or are currently pursuing bachelors or masters degree in Exercise Science or related field. Candidates must possess or be working towards certification through CSCCa, NSCA, and/or USAW and have strong work ethic and desire to become strength and conditioning professional. Interns will have the opportunity to assist the Sports Performance staff with the implementation and supervision of all training programs for Olympic Sports teams. Interns will also have professional development opportunities through completion of internship curriculum assignments. This is a volunteer position, but individuals will have the opportunity to gain hands-on experience as well as earn future recommendation for employment. Western Kentucky: Western Kentucky is looking for volunteer interns for the 2015 fall semester. This is an UNPAID position. DURATION: Aug. 3rd, 2015 - Nov. 30th, 2015. RESPONSIBILITIES: Under direction of the Assistant Director for Strength and Conditioning intern will assist staff with the implementation of strength & conditioning programs for Western Kentucky Football. Interns are expected to perform a variety of tasks that include: weight room/equipment up-keep and maintenance, pre-workout set-up, post-workout clean-up, supplement provision, research to enhance personal development and field related projects. QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates must be completing or have completed a degree in Exercise Science or a related field, current CPR/AED and First Aid Certification and ideally will have or be pursuing CSCCa or CSCS certification. Kent State: The University of Kent State Strength and Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for Assistant Strength Coach to assist the Head Strength Coach in the oversight of weight training and conditioning programs for intercollegiate Athletics. Bachelors degree in related field, 2-3 years experience with an intercollegiate strength and conditioning and staff including experience with football and olympic sports are required. Certifications through the CSCCa and/or NSCA are required. This is a 10 month entry level full time assignment that will pay $20,000 plus benefits. Do not send resumes via email.
