West Virginia: Joe Heskett has been hired by WVU as the associate athletic director for sports performance.

Maine: The University of Maine athletic department currently has a restricted earnings strength and conditioning assistant position available. The temporary position is includes an $8000 stipend (no benefits/meals/housing included). Program design and implement directly with baseball, women's soccer, along with assisting in football and other sports as needed. All applicants must have a bachelor degree, hold a First-Aid CPR, and have prior experience in a collegiate or professional strength and conditioning setting. The applicants must hold one or more of the following certifications CSCS, CSCCA, NASM PES, or USAW certification, or be able to obtain one before the desired start date. The Citadel: The Citadel, The Military College of South Carolina, is currently accepting applications for two volunteer Strength & Conditioning (S&C) internship positions. The internship will last for the duration of the fall semester, August 20 – December 12, 2014. These are unpaid positions. Interns will gain practical experience working in a Division I S&C environment with exposure to training, programming, and coaching. Other benefits include possible future references, course credit, and gear when available. Minimum requirements include certifications in CPR, AED, and First Aid, a strong work ethic, a desire to become an industry professional, the ability to adjust to a demanding work schedule, and effective communication skills in a group setting. Candidates must need this internship for college requirement/course credit. The ideal candidate will be pursuing a degree in Exercise Science or related field. Other preferred qualifications include certification from a recognized governing body, (NSCA, ACSM, USAW, CSCCa, etc.), previous intern or coaching experience, personal involvement in a competitive sport, and proficiency with Microsoft Office programs. Responsibilities will include daily, weekly, and semester long professional development assignments, facility maintenance, and other tasks as designated by the S&C staff.
