Jesuit College Prep HS (TX): The Jesuit College Preparatory School of Dallas is accepting applications for two Summer Athletic Performance Paid Interns. This is an ideal opportunity for those interested in gaining true hands on experience in the performance profession and for those, but not limited to, that reside in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area. All candidates will have an opportunity to train a broad spectrum of sports including football while assisting in the daily maintenance of the Ranger Performance Center. Required dates would be four weeks in the month of June and three weeks during the month of July. Pay is non-negotiable at $1,000.00 for each position. This opportunity is a curriculum based internship and candidates can receive class credit if applicable. All candidates must have a genuine interest in training athletes and must have or working towards a nationally recognized certification such as the CSCS. This is an opportunity to train high school athletes and will require the final candidates to perform a background check. If this is a concern, please do not apply. Marshall: The Marshall University Strength and Conditioning Department (Olympic Sports) is seeking motivated individuals to fill 1-2 volunteer coach positions for the Summer 2014 Semester. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Setup, breakdown, and implementation of training programs for 12 intercollegiate teams (Primarily M&W Basketball) and assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and facility. This is an unpaid position, but the candidate will gain critical experience working and learning in a Division I setting. There may be a chance for housing assistance. The internship will begin May 12th, 2014 and will end August 22nd, 2014. The candidate must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and be CPR and First Aid certified. Preferred qualifications: CSCS, USAW, SCCC.
