Pittsburgh: The University of Pittsburgh’s Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning Department is currently accepting applications for volunteer interns for the Summer 2013. Internship will begin May 13 and end August 2Daily responsibilities include: assisting with the set up and break down of weight room and fields for conditioning workouts; daily clean up and maintenance of the weight room and all of its equipment; assist with supervision and demonstration during the training sessions. Applicants must be highly self motivated, able to follow directions, desire to learn, and have a strong work ethic. The Successful applicants should be working towards earning their Bachelor’s degree and a certification from the NSCA-CSCS, CSCCA, and/or USAW. Interns must be CPR/AED certified. This is an unpaid position, however, volunteers will receive experience working at a Division I program, better understanding of program design, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable.
