Metropolitan State (D-II - Denver ,CO): Metropolitan State University of Denver: The Metropolitan State University of Denver Strength and Conditioning Staff is seeking highly motivated, hardworking candidates for a strength and conditioning internship during the Summer of 2016. Official Start date is June 1, 2016. Duties will include assisting the strength and conditioning staff with all aspects of the athletic performance program as well as daily maintenance of weight room and facilities. This is an UNPAID position, living and transportation arrangements will NOT be provided. If chosen for this internship opportunity, you will gain valuable experience, be educated on training philosophy, various lifting modalities, and how to structure and execute a successful strength and conditioning program. Minimum qualifications: American Red Cross CPR/AED/First Aid cert. 1 semester of coaching (sport specific or S&C) or internship experience, strong work ethic and desire to become a strength and conditioning professional. Candidates should have or be working towards attaining their bachelor’s or master’s degree in a related field and possess or at least be in the process of acquiring one of these certifications: CSCS, SCCC. Preferred qualifications: Previous internship or coaching experience at the collegiate level, Bachelor’s and/or Master’s degree, CSCS.
