This position will oversee the strength and conditioning program for student athletes at NMHU by providing leadership and security in the Athletic Weight room. Minimum Job Requirements: Education: Bachelor’s Degree in any field. Experience: One (1) year experience working as a Strength and Conditioning Coach. Preferred: Collegiate or professional experience with certification in strength and conditioning or ability to become certified in the first year of employment. Black Hills State (D-II - SD): Black Hills State University (Division II), located in Spearfish, SD and a member of the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference (RMAC), is accepting applications for a full-time Head Strength and Conditioning Specialist. This position will include overseeing the strength and conditioning programs for all intercollegiate athletes at Black Hills State University. The position will be responsible for developing a systematic exercise prescription training program for both teams and individual athletes, for each of the 12 athletic programs at Black Hills State University. They also must acknowledge and follow all the policies, procedures, and regulations set forth by the NCAA DII, RMAC, and University as they apply to strength & conditioning and the student-athlete well being. A BA is required, along with being a certified member of the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA), as a Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Preferred qualifications include collegiate work background and administrative experience. This is a 12 month full time position with no class room responsibilities, but will require availability in the evenings and weekends. The salary range will be commensurate with experience and degree. This position will report directly to the Director of Athletics.
