Henderson State (AR): Henderson State University Strength and Conditioning is looking for one (1) volunteer unpaid strength and conditioning intern positions for the Fall 2014 semester. Internship will begin August 11th and continue through December 2014. This is an unpaid internship but great opportunity to gain experience working with high level athletes. Duties: Assist S & C coordinators with all aspects of training for football. Provide leadership and instruction in the athletic development of student athletes to include skill analysis, teach proper technique and adapt workouts to match each sports specific need. Provide encouragement, motivate, and give feedback to student athletes to ensure maximum development of athletic potential. Assist with outside activities as assigned by HC and S & C Coach. Job Requirements: Strong desire to pursue a career in collegiate strength and conditioning. Excellent work ethic. Ability to adapt to schedule changes. CPR/First Aid certified. Desired Skills: Knowledge and experience in all areas of strength training including Olympic style lifting as well as speed, agility, plyometric, flexibility and conditioning methods. Working towards or completion of an undergrad/grad degree in Exercise Science or related field. Currently certified or working towards certification from nationally known organization. Interns will have the opportunity to gain valuable experience in the field as well as fulfill school internship hours if necessary.
