Frostburg State University (DIII - MD): Frostburg State University seeks applications for a Director of Fitness/Strength & Conditioning. This is a twelve-month exempt position, which includes USM benefits package. Responsibilities: Fitness & Weight room Facility Management, develop customer service expectation and goals for fitness & weight room, inspection and scheduling of maintenance and cleaning of the weight room / fitness area, hire and supervise student workers, hire, supervise and mentor graduate assistants, develop the physical strength, endurance, flexibility and agility of athletes, design a program customized to each sport’s specific needs, provide direct instruction to student-athletes, as well as provide assessment and documentation tools, in order to assure proper explanation of training techniques, document athletes’ workouts, provides physical therapy and assists in the prevention, care, and rehabilitation of athletic injuries, advises on prevention and care of athletic injuries, other administrative duties as assigned by the Athletics Director. Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in related field. National Strength and Conditioning Association - CSCS Certification. Two years previous experience in the strength and conditioning or fitness field. Masters preferred. Frostburg State University is located in the Appalachian highlands of western Maryland.
