Western Michigan: The Department of Strength and Conditioning (Olympic sports) at Western Michigan University is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill the internship positions for the Spring of 2014. Upon completion of the spring internship, candidates will be considered for a GRADUATE ASSISTANT POSITION with the department that begins in the Fall of 2014. Daily responsibilities will include the following: 1. Assisting with supervision and implementation of strength training programs for various sports 2.Tending to daily maintenance of the training facilities 3.Learning the basics of Annual planning/programming. 4. Any other duties specified by the Director of the program. This is a non-paid position. However, each candidate will be considered for the graduate assistant position beginning in the Fall of 2014. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, and a strong desire to become a Collegiate level Strength and Conditioning Coach.
