Webber International University (NAIA – FL): Webber International University Strength & Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the position of Strength & Conditioning Intern-Assistant Coach for the 2012-2013 school year. Responsibilities include designing & implementing year-round strength & conditioning programs for a selected portion of the 32 teams at WIU (exact teams TBD upon hiring); assisting in the complete training of all teams, including SAQ drills, weight room sessions, conditioning sessions, exercise technique, rehabilitation, nutrition/supplementation education, etc.; assisting with managing the fitness center, student workers, and group fitness sessions; assisting with all fundraising activities within the strength & conditioning department. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree (or currently in pursuit of) in an Exercise Science or related field; CSCS or SCCC not required but preferred; current CPR/AED certification; ability to gather data, compile information, prepare reports, and work with Microsoft Office programs; strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, organizational, and managerial skills; ability to work effectively with culturally and economically diverse populations. Contract terms are from August 1, 2012 – May 3, 2013 (9 months), and require candidates to work a minimum of 30 hours a week. THERE IS NO MONITARY COMPENSATION FOR THESE POSITIONS, BUT ALL INTERN-COACHES WILL RECEIVE FREE ON-CAMPUS HOUSING, A COMPLETE MEAL PLAN, CONTINUING EDUCATION/CONFERENCE OPPORTUNITIES, AND WEBBER STRENGTH & CONDITIONING GEAR.
