Tennessee: The University of Tennessee is aproud member of the South Eastern Conference and has immediate openings for Spring 2012 intern positions. The intern positions begin in January and extend through April. This is an unpaid position. The candidate will receive Division I Intercollegiate experience, gear, internship manual, and earned recommendation toward further success as a Strength & Conditioning Coach. These successful candidates will be required to schedule and maintain a minimum of 30 hours per week with the Strength and Conditioning Department. The daily responsibilities will include: 1. Assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for assigned teams. 2. Teaching student athletes proper lifting techniques and equipment use. 3. Attending to the daily maintenance of the training facilities. 4. Participation in internship curriculum. Utah State: Utah State University seeks two qualified candidates for graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach positions. Candidates must have a strong desire to pursue a career in the field. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to: assist with all aspects of USU’s football program, oversee all aspects of assigned sports teams, assist with non-assigned sports teams when needed, and daily upkeep of strength and conditioning facility and equipment. Qualified candidates should have: a bachelor’s degree by May 2012, previous collegiate internship experience, and be working towards certification through the CSCCa and/or NSCA. Compensation for this position includes $10,000 a year, full tuition, books, and fees. Interested candidates need to send a cover letter, resume (with cumulative GPA and GRE and/or MAT overall and sectional scores), and five references to Head Strength and Conditioning Coach: Evan Simon at evan.simon@usu.edu The top five candidates for this position will be phone interviewed and then asked to apply for admission to the graduate exercise science program.
