Villanova: Strength and Conditioning Internship Villanova University (Villanova, PA), is seeking qualified applicants for a Strength and conditioning coach with varsity sports. The internship includes a 1,000 dollar a month stipend, health insurance, and meals. The internship will begin October 2011 and end in June 2012. Internship responsibilities include: assisting the Strength and Conditioning staff with the implementation of strength and conditioning, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility and nutritional programs. Additional duties include, but are not limited to: monitoring the Sports Performance facilities and aiding the Strength and Conditioning staff in various aspects of coaching, testing and evaluation. CSCS or CSCCa and Previous strength and conditioning experience is preferred but not required. Southeast Missouri State: Ryan Johnson has been hired as the head strength coach at SEMO. Johnson previously was an assistant at Delaware State. 

Stanford: Is accepting applications for Intern Sports Performance Coaches to contribute exclusively to the football program. This unpaid opportunity provides experience assisting the football sports performance coordinator in implementing an individualized, comprehensive injury prevention and performance enhancement program specific to football. Internship is expected to begin no later than Monday January 16, 2012. Candidates must to make a 6 month commitment; however internship can be extended mutually for up to a year. South Florida: The University of South Florida Strength and Conditioning is accepting applications for the Spring Semester of 2012 Athletic Performance Interns. Intern responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of USF’s Division I intercollegiate athletic programs including football and other teams as assigned; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Intern qualifications must include: Strong work ethic; Desire to learn; Enthusiasm; Desire to become a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field; eligible to sit for the CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification. There is no monetary compensation provided. However, the position offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as the fulfillment of credit hours toward a program degree.
