Valdosta State: Valdosta State University Strength & Conditioning (Division II) located in Valdosta, GA is currently in the process of accepting applications for Strength & Conditioning Graduate Assistants for fall 2015 semester. Responsibilities will include but not limited to assisting the Director of Strength & Conditioning in all aspects of developing and implementing strength & conditioning programs for all intercollegiate athletic teams. Candidate will be asked to design and implement annual periodization for the sports assigned by Director of Strength & Conditioning. Assist with and conduct periodic performance and strength testing, and assist in the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. The candidate must have a bachelor’s degree with preferred emphasis in the exercise sciences, and high level of competency in coaching athletes. Must have great work ethic, and strong computer skills especially in excel. Preferred experience (1-2 years) includes coaching strength and conditioning for intercollegiate athletes, playing intercollegiate athletics. CSCS, CSCCA, and USAW certification is a positive benefit. Must have CPR certification. Educational stipend and financial compensation will be provided. . Buffalo State College (D-III - NY): Buffalo State College’s strength and conditioning department is accepting applications for the Summer 2015 Strength and Conditioning Internship Program (1 Spot) as well as applications for Fall 2015 Strength and Conditioning Internship (multiple positions). This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Potential Candidates: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s in a related field. A CSCS certification or a SCCC certification are preferred but not required.
