Marshall: The Marshall University Strength and Conditioning Department (Olympic Sports) is seeking motivated individuals to fill 1-2 volunteer coach positions for the Fall 2014 Semester. Responsibilities will include but are not limited to: Setup, breakdown, and implementation of training programs for 12 intercollegiate teams and assisting with the maintenance and upkeep of the equipment and facility. This is an unpaid position, but the candidate will gain critical experience working and learning in a Division I setting. The internship will begin August 18th, 2014 and will end December 12th, 2014. The candidate must be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise Science or related field and be CPR and First Aid certified. Preferred qualifications: CSCS, USAW, SCCC. Southwest Baptist (D-II - MO):  Southwest Baptist University is seeking an immediate hire for a strength and conditioning GA. The position will primarily work with Olympic Sports. Must be admitted into the school's graduate program and must be enrolled in a minimum of one course per semester. The position comes with a $7,500 yearly stipend and tuition remission. Southwest Baptist is a D-II in the MIAA and football competes in the GLVC. The university is located in Bolivar, MO about 30 minutes from Springfield, MO. Collegiate playing experience preferred as well as experience with male and female athletes. Certification by a nationally recognized Strength and Conditioning Organization strongly preferred. Dartmouth: Dartmouth College Department of Strength and Conditioning (Olympic Sports) is accepting applications for 1 paid Athletic Intern. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: design and implementation of sport specific strength and conditioning programs for assigned Olympic sport teams and assist with Football; demonstration and instruction of Olympic weightlifting techniques; supervise team workouts, individual workouts, assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the facility. Qualifications: (Required) - Bachelor’s degree, CSCS, CSCCa certification; CPR and First Aid certifications; previous experience in an NCAA four-year college or university weight room working with a variety of teams; experience in designing and implementing workout programs. Additional Position Information: This is a 20k position for 10 months. Start date: September 2014. Hardin-Simmons (D-III - TX): The Hardin-Simmons University Strength & Conditioning program is seeking a graduate assistant for the upcoming Fall and Spring semesters. Requirements:Nationally recognized Strength & Conditioning Certification, experience at collegiate or high school level including performance centers, private lessons, etc. Must be able to effectively train, coordinate and manage athletes during weekly training sessions in all phases of the year, high motivation, intense work ethic, passion for the field of strength & conditioning, must be able to work flexible hours. Qualifications: (Required) - Bachelor’s degree and a strong strength and conditioning background (Preferred) - CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR and First Aid certifications; previous strength and conditioning experience in a collegiate setting; experience in designing and implementing workout programs.
