Eastern Michigan: Eastern Michigan University Sports Performance is looking for qualified strength and conditioning interns for the Summer 2015 semester. The internship will begin Sunday May 3rd and will end on Saturday August 3rd 2015. Preferred qualifications: Pursuing Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in exercise physiology or related field; NSCA-CSCS, CSCCa, USAW certifications; CPR certification. One year of previous experience in a strength and conditioning program or have previous collegiate athletics experience. Compensation: This is a non-paid position. Those accepted into the program will receive Coach McKeefery’s nationally recognized internship curriculum, practical strength and conditioning experience, and career mentorship. Hours completed can be applied toward undergraduate/graduate internship requirements and/or the Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coaches Association certification practicum requirement. Georgia: The Strength and Conditioning Department at the University of Georgia is still accepting applications and resumes for three (3) Volunteer Strength and Conditioning Interns for Football. These positions will begin immediately. Candidates that meet requirements and begin during the CURRENT SEMESTER will be guaranteed an intern spot for the summer 2015 semester. These are UNPAID Internships. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s degree or seeking internship requirements for the completion of an undergraduate or master’s degree in exercise science or related field. A strong desire to pursue a career as a Strength and Conditioning Coach and obtain Strength and Conditioning Coaching Certifications from the C.S.C.C.A. or the N.S.C.A. Candidates must exhibit adequate knowledge and coaching experience with Olympic-style lifts and posses the ability and aptitude to adequately demonstrate these lifts. DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor’s and/or master’s degree in Exercise Science or a related field. Extensive knowledge and experience with implementation of strength and conditioning programs for college football players.
