UC Davis (FCS): Head strength coach Matt Brand is leaving the program for an opportunity in private business. John Krasinski has taken over as head strength coach.

Davidson: The Davidson College Strength and Conditioning department is accepting applications for the Fall Semester of 2015 Athletic Performance Interns. Intern responsibilities include: assisting with the supervision and training of Davidson’s 21 Division I intercollegiate athletic programs; assisting with daily administrative and maintenance duties; completion of various educational assignments during the internship are required. Intern qualifications must include: Strong work ethic; Desire to learn; Enthusiasm; Desire to become a qualified Strength and Conditioning Coach. Preferred qualifications include: Senior status or completion of a Bachelor’s degree in exercise science or related field; eligible to sit for the CSCS, SCCC, or USAW certification; CPR certification. Compensation: There is no monetary compensation provided. However, the position offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as the fulfillment of credit hours toward a program degree. Expected Start Date is August 24, 2015. Gardner-Webb: Gardner-Webb University has an immediate opening for a Head Strength and Conditioning Coach. Responsibilities of this position include: Design and implementation of an in-season and out-of-season strength and conditioning program for 22 NCAA Division I Athletics Programs, teaching proper technique in various speed, strength agility and explosive movements, testing and evaluating the student-athlete’s performance, compliance with all appropriate university, Big South Conference and NCAA Rules and Regulations. Qualifications include: Bachelor’s degree in a related field required, Master’s degree preferred, documented experience in the successful implementation of a strength and conditioning program for a variety of athletic teams and the ability to effectively communicate with university personnel, including coaches, student-athletes and other individuals. Successful candidate must have at least one of the following certifications: Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC) or Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Evaluation of candidates will begin upon receipt of the letter of application and other appropriate information. The successful applicant must have a strong commitment to Christian higher education.
