Brown: Brown University Strength and Conditioning department is currently accepting applications for internship positions over the Summer and Fall 2013. Interns will have the opportunity to work with 37 Ivy League varsity teams. Qualifications: Intern must be completing this internship for course credit towards a degree in Exercise Science or related field. Intern must possess or be working toward a certification through the CSCCa, NSCA and/or USAW. Intern must have a strong desire to become a collegiate strength and conditioning professional. Intern will be required to complete a curriculum within the program. Intern will not receive credit if the curriculum is not completed to the standards set forth by Brown’s Strength & Conditioning staff. Compensation: This internship position is unpaid; however, the position offers the opportunity of advancement in the field of strength and conditioning as well as the fulfillment of credit hours toward a degree. Clemson: Clemson University Department of Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill Summer 2013 (June 1st-July 31st) internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Individuals will also have the opportunity to work with all the Olympic sports that train out of Jervey weight room. It may fulfill course credit if necessary. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach. Pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s) Compensation: This is a non-paid volunteer position. Will gain experience as well as future recommendation for employment.
