Miami (OH): Miami University, in Oxford Ohio, is looking to hire an Assistant Strength and Conditioning coach. This position specifically supports the mission of the University and the Department of Intercollegiate Athletics by assisting in institutional compliance with NCAA and Conference rules and regulations. Duties of this position include: Design and implement strength and conditioning programs for assigned teams (specifically men’s/women’s basketball), Assist the Director of Strength and Conditioning with the design and implementation of the football strength and conditioning program. Minimum qualifications include: Bachelor’s Degree in Exercise science or related field required, Master’s Degree in Exercise Science or related field preferred, CPR / AED certified, Current certification through one or more of the following organizations: NSCA (CSCS), CSCCa (SCCC), USAW, 2-3 years working in a collegiate strength and conditioning program and significant training and experience with all forms of resistance training and conditioning. Must also be well-versed and experienced in speed improvement/mechanics, flexibility/mobility, energy system specific training, skill-specific training, testing/evaluation protocols, rehabilitation procedures with various injuries, and nutritional education. Wichita State: Wichita State University’s High Performance Training Department has 3 UNPAID internship opportunities available for the 2015 summer semester. Successful candidates will gain valuable experience in the coordination of intercollegiate high performance training systems, individualized program design and implementation, functional athlete assessments, on-the-floor coaching, and athlete readiness monitoring programs. Minimum Qualifications include: Strong work ethic; punctuality; enthusiasm; desire to further one’s career in the field of Strength & Conditioning. In addition, you will work within a CSCCa approved mentorship program gaining the necessary time commitment for candidates seeking to obtain the gold-standard SCCC certification. Preferred Qualifications include: Pursuing Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Exercise Science, Anatomy, Exercise Physiology, Kinesiology, Biomechanics, Measurement and Evaluation, and/or Nutrition; SCCC or USAW certifications; CPR certification and coaching experience. The position responsibilities are diverse and may include but are not limited to: assisting in weight room supervision, stocking nutritional stations, working within excel and PowerPoint, set-up and break-down of sessions, and assisting in the coaching of individual and team sessions. Southern Utah: Jeff Butler has been promoted to director of strength and conditioning at Southern Utah University.

Moravian College: Moravian College is accepting applications for a Fitness Center/Strength & Conditioning Assistant/Intern. This position will provide assistance to the Director of Fitness - Strength and Conditioning. The administrative portion of the position will be assigned in game management and/or another area as determined by the Director of Athletics. All interns will be involved in at least one administrative unit of the department and asked to work on behalf of all programs. This is a full time position requiring the ability to work flexible hours including nights and weekends as necessary. QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Work related to fitness / strength and conditioning at the college level. Experience in other areas/levels considered (directly related personal experience or college courses may be substituted equally for up to one year’s experience); or any equivalent combination of experience and training that provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Must hold current CPR/First Aid and National Certification. Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
