Please join us in praying for the family of Purdue Senior Associate Director of Sports Performance Doug Davis, who has passed away. Davis was the head strength coach at Kent State previously, and also had stops at Ohio State and South Florida as an assistant.

Valdosta State: Valdosta State has filled their grad assistant positions with the additions of Connor Stanton and James Carson. Staton joins the staff from Baylor and Carson joins via South Carolina.

Wake Forest: The Wake Forest University Department of Men’s Basketball Athletic Performance is currently accepting applications for an unpaid Applied Performance Intern Position. This will be an entry-level position. The position will report to the Director of Athletic Performance for Men’s Basketball and assist with all aspects of the Athletic Performance Program with an emphasis on athlete monitoring and tracking technologies. Applied Performance Intern duties will include but are not limited to; assisting with the implementation of athlete tracking and readiness technologies, data aggregation for the applied performance program, assisting the athletic performance staff with the design and implementation of basketball specific strength, speed, agility, and conditioning programs, daily equipment maintenance and other duties as assigned. The Applied Performance Intern must comply with all NCAA, conference and institutional rules, regulations and procedures. Required qualifications include; Punctuality, enthusiasm, strong work ethic, and the ability to volunteer a minimum of 20 hours per week. Preferred qualifications include; Bachelor’s degree, SCCC and/or CSCS certification, First Aid/CPR/AED, experience working with athletic performance programs in a collegiate and/or professional setting, Graduate degree in a relevant field, experience working with SportVu, excel, statistics, athlete management software, sport technology systems, and Functional Movement Screen Certification. Interns will receive experience working in a Division I training environment, have the potential to earn recommendations for future career opportunities, and receive college credit if applicable. Incarnate Word (FCS): The University of the Incarnate Word invites applications for the position of Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach (Athletics). Clemson: Clemson University Department of Olympic Sports Strength and Conditioning is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill Fall 2015 internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Individuals will also have the opportunity to work with all the Olympic sports that train out of the Jervey weight room. It may fulfill course credit if necessary. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports, attending to daily maintenance of the training facilities, and professional development throughout internship program. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach. Pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s). Compensation: This is a non-paid volunteer position. Will gain experience as well as future recommendation for employment.
