Louisiana-Monroe: The University of Louisiana Monroe is currently seeking highly motivated volunteer strength and conditioning coaches for their unpaid mentorship program beginning spring of 2016. Candidates must be highly motivated in seeking a career in the field of strength and conditioning. Candidates can expect a rigorous educational curriculum, coaching development, and possible recommendations to set them up to pursue a career in the field of strength and conditioning. The mentorship will start January 15 and end May 1st. No monetary compensation will be provided, however, there is the option for part time work in the town of Monroe if needed. Candidates must be currently working towards or hold one of the following certifications: CSCS or CSCCA. Candidates will be expected to have and maintain a high work ethic, disciplined schedule, and must be punctual. Buffalo State (D-III - NY): Buffalo State College’s strength and conditioning department is accepting applications for the Spring 2016 Strength and Conditioning Internship Program. This is an unpaid position. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the strength and conditioning staff with the implementation of sport specific injury prevention, strength, speed, agility, flexibility, mobility, and conditioning program. Potential Candidates: Candidates should be pursuing or have completed a Bachelor’s in a related field. A CSCS certification or a SCCC certification are preferred but not required. Arizona: The University of Arizona Football Strength and Conditioning program is accepting immediate applications for Spring Internships. Interns will assist in all daily activities at the Lowell-Stevens Football Facility, assist Strength and Conditioning coaches and participate in the continuing education curriculum. Interns will not receive any monetary compensation, but will receive valuable experience and future recommendations based on performance.
