Seattle: Seattle University Department of Athletic Performance is seeking highly motivated candidates to fill 2014 Winter and Spring internship positions. Individuals will gain knowledge and experience in a Division I Collegiate Strength and Conditioning setting. Individuals will also have the opportunity to work with all the sports that train out of Athletic Performance Center. It may fulfil course credit if necessary. Daily responsibilities will include but are not limited to: assisting with supervision and execution of strength training programs for various sports and professional development throughout internship program. Qualifications: Currently pursuing bachelors/masters in exercise science or related field, certified in CPR/First Aid, and a strong desire to become a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach. Pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s) Compensation: This is a non-paid volunteer position. Will gain experience as well as future recommendation for employment. Arizona Rattlers: The four time Arena League Champions and back to back title holders are looking for aspiring strength and conditioning coaches to fill internship positions for the 2014 season (3/1-8/1). Prospective candidates will receive the opportunity to work with professional athletes trying to maximize their performance on the field through rigorous strength training and stretching programs. Interns gain valuable hands on experience working one on one with our players as well as in group settings. This is a non-paying internship, for course credit if applicable. Applicants must be willing to reside in the Phoenix area of Arizona. Also, all applicants must have strength and conditioning in their background, with experience in both weight training and stretching.
