University of Tennessee: Football Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for 2011 interns. This position is offering no monetary compensation. Interns will be required to work at least 30 hours each week. Individuals will gain experience in a division I college strength & conditioning setting as well as future recommendations. College credit will be given as approved by their institution. Responsibilities will include: 1) Assisting with the development and implementation of sport specific strength & conditioning programs. 2) Organizational and office duties. 3) Daily maintenance of equipment. 4) Assisting in supervision of training sessions and demonstrating exercise technique when needed. 5) Other duties as assigned by strength & conditioning staff. Preferred applicants should have collegiate athletic playing experience, currently pursuing or have achieved a bachelors/masters in exercise science or a related field. Preferred qualifications: proficient in Microsoft Office, currently pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s).
