Bethune-Cookman (FCS): Bethune-Cookman University Strength and Conditioning Department is accepting applications for Fall 2012 interns. This position is offering no monetary compensation. Individuals will gain experience in a Division I college strength & conditioning setting as well as future recommendations. College credit will be given as approved by their institution. Responsibilities will include: 1) Organizational and office duties. 2) Daily maintenance of equipment. 3) Assisting in supervision of training sessions and demonstrating exercise technique when needed. 4) Other duties as assigned by strength & conditioning director. Preferred applicants should have outstanding work ethic, loyalty, and currently pursuing or have achieved a bachelors / masters in exercise science or a related field. Preferred qualifications: proficient in Microsoft Office, currently pursuing NSCA, USAW, or CSCCa certification(s). Cumberland University (NAIA - TN): Cumberland University Strength & Conditioning Department is now accepting applications for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for the 2012-2013 school year. Responsibilities include designing & implementing year-round strength & conditioning programs for select teams at CU (TBD); assisting in the complete training of all teams, student workers, projects, scheduling of teams, cleaning and maintenance of facilities. Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree in an Exercise Science or related field; CSCS or SCCC not required but preferred; current CPR/AED certification; ability to gather data, compile information, prepare reports, and work with Microsoft Office programs; strong interpersonal, communication, leadership, organizational; Contract terms are from July 20, 2012 – graduation 2014. The candidate must be able to take GRE/GMAT and be accepted to the Graduate Program. THERE IS NO MONETARY COMPENSATION FOR THIS POSITION, COACH WILL RECEIVE AN OPPORTUNITY TO OBTAIN A MASTERS DEGREE, STRENGTH CERTIFICATIONS, FREE ON-CAMPUS HOUSING, A COMPLETE MEAL PLAN.
