South Alabama: The University of South Alabama is seeking qualified applicants for the position of Graduate Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach. The position is a graduate assistantship that includes a month to month stipend and a full tuition waiver. Applicant must possess one of the following certifications CSCS, SCCC, or USAW before submitting their application. The applicant must also hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field (Exercise Science, Athletic Training, Physical Education, or Strength and Conditioning) with minimum of one year collegiate coaching experience. The applicant must have a minimum of a 2.75 GPA and already have taken their GRE. Duties include development and implementation of sport training programs for selected sports and assist with all other sports, administration and supervision of the two weight rooms, educating athletes and coaches on nutrition and supplements and other duties assigned by the Head Strength Coach. All applications received by November 9, 2012 will be assured full consideration. Review of applications will begin immediately and continue until the position is filled for the spring semester. Late applications will be reviewed as necessary to fill the position. Tennessee: Fred Hale, former Buffalo Bills intern, has been hired by the Tennessee Strength & Conditioning Department, filling the previously posted assistant coaching position.

Stanford: We hear that Nevada assistant director of strength and conditioning Mark Lamoreaux is heading to Stanford to serve as the assistant sports performance director for football.
