Ashland (D-II - OH): Ashland University seeks a graduate assistant to work in the Strength & Conditioning Department. Ashland University is a NCAA Division II institution that competes in the Great Midwest Athletic Conference (GMAC). The university is located midway between Cleveland and Columbus, off Interstate 71. Ashland University offers 24 varsity sports and annually works with more than 700 student-athletes. Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to: Comprehensive strength and conditioning program design for 3-5 assigned teams based on experience and career goals/aspirations. Effective teaching and execution of proper technique of lifts and drills, including strength training, field work, injury mitigation strategies and conditioning. Assist the Full-Time staff with design and implementation of training protocols. Collaborate with sports medicine staff on rehabilitation of sports related injuries. Assist with the maintenance and upkeep of the weight room facilities. Required Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree in Exercise Science or a related field. CSCS or SCCC certification. Current First Aid/CPR/AED certification through an accredited governing body. Previous strength & conditioning experience. Candidates must possess excellent organizational and communication skills, and be able to effectively and appropriately interact with student-athletes, parents, alumni, faculty, peers, community members, and administrators. Compensation: 10-month contract – August through May (may be adjusted w/summer classes). Coverage for tuition up to 18 credit hours per academic year. Tuition waiver can be applied to fall, spring, and summer courses. $6500 stipend per academic year. On-campus meal plan (80 meal swipes/semester).
