Miami Dolphins: The Dolphins are hiring Jaguars’ assistant Pat Flaherty as their new offensive line coach tweets Alex Marvez.
Texas Tech: Mike O’Guin is joining the Texas Tech staff as a defensive grad assistant. O’Guin was coaching defensive line at Northshore HS (TX).
Alabama: Saturday we reported Brian Baker would be Alabama’s new defensive line coach taking over for Craig Kuligowski. This evening Alex Marvez is now confirming the same.
USC: USC is reportedly set to hire Graham Harrell as its next offensive coordinator. Well, maybe. Conflicting reports from L.A…..
Kansas Wesleyan (NAIA): Myers Hendrickson, a former offensive graduate assistant and offensive coordinator for the program under former head coach Matt Drinkall, has been named head coach. Hendrickson spent last season as the offensive coordinator at Northern State (D-II – SD) and prior to that spent two seasons as the offensive coordinator at Coe College (D-III – IA).
Michigan: Nate Woody, who served as the defensive coordinator at Georgia Tech last season, is expected to join the Michigan staff in an off-field role, per source. In the past several weeks, per reports, Woody had reportedly taken the Army defensive coordinator job and was also set to join the Georgia State staff as of recently. We now understand he’s heading to Ann Arbor and is expected to join Jim Harbaugh’s staff.
Buffalo Bills: Eastern Kentucky (FCS) assistant head coach/offensive line coach Terry Heffernan has been announced as the Bills’ assistant offensive line coach.

Albright (D-III – PA): Albright College is looking to hire a defensive intern / video coordinator. This is a 10-month contract position working with the defensive line. Contract includes stipend and free housing. No other benefits are attached to the position. Start by 3/11/19. Interested candidates can contact [email protected].
Kansas: Jay Niemann, who spent the last three seasons as the defensive coordinator at Rutgers, has joined the staff as a defensive analyst, former Texas State defensive coordinator Christopher Woods has joined the program as senior defensive analyst, and Alex Knisely will work as the director of video operations after spending the past two seasons as the assistant director of video operations at Northwestern.
Mayville State (NAIA – ND): Head coach Sean Thom has resigned after two seasons to pursue other opportunities. The school notes in their release that a search for the program’s new head coach is underway. Thom went 2-19 in two seasons leading the program.
Miami Dolphins: Ian Rapoport tweets that Giants outside linebackers coach Robbie Leonard and Jaguars defensive line coach Marion Hobby are both joining Brian Flores’ staff after he coaches the Super Bowl with the Patriots.

Masters of Sports Administration: Upper Iowa’s MSA degree provides learners with the current theories, concepts, and learning models necessary to assume administrative, coaching and leadership roles in high school, higher education and sports business settings. The online degree is available with emphasis in Sports Management or Coaching & Leadership Eduction.
Kentucky State (D-II): Atlanta Falcons defensive assistant Charlie Jackson has been named head coach of the Thorobreds. Prior to serving with the Falcons the past two seasons, Jackson served on the NCAA national office staff as a member of the college football rules enforcement group. He led and was directly responsible for the football rules development efforts in the Southeastern Conference. His background includes multiple defensive coaching roles with the Green Bay Packers and Denver Broncos, as well as coaching fellowships with the Atlanta Falcons and St. Louis Rams. He also served as a college scout for the Seattle Seahawks organization. He has collegiate experience at Colorado, UCLA, Utah State, Buffalo, and the United States Air Force Academy.
Liberty: Source tells FootballScoop Indiana assistant AD for on campus recruiting Bruce Johnson is expected to join Hugh Freeze’ staff coaching running backs. Johnson recently completed his first year at IU after having coached at Ole Miss 2012-17 (working with tight ends / running backs / offensive line). In addition to his coaching responsibilities, Johnson also served in leadership roles in recruiting and academics at Ole Miss.
Central Michigan: Per sources, Jim McElwain has completed his staff at Central Michigan.
Buffalo: Source tells FootballScoop no formal deal is in place; but Lance Leipold is expected to hire former Wyoming offensive line coach Scott Fuchs in the same role. Fuchs had just finished his fifth season at Wyoming and previously coached with Leipold at Nebraska-Omaha (D-II).
Appalachian State: Pat Washington, who previously coached the tight ends at South Carolina, has accepted the wide receivers job at App State, per multiple reports.
Arkansas-Monticello (D-II): University of Arkansas Monticello has filled their wide receivers graduate assistant position. Thank you for the overwhelming interest.
Assumption (D-II – MA): Per source, assistant linebacker coach Nik Kessel has been promoted to full-time coaching status and will now serve as special teams coordinator / recruiting coordinator.
Bethel (NAIA – TN): Richard Hutchings has joined the staff as offensive line coach / run game coordinator.
Oklahoma State: Mike Gundy once again thought outside the box with his offensive coordinator hire, bringing in Princeton offensive play caller Sean Gleeson.
Northern Arizona (FCS – TN): Jesse Thompson has been hired to coach the defensive backs at NAU, per source. Thompson had accepted the defensive backs job at Miles a few weeks ago, and spent last season coaching the defensive backs at Delta State (D-II – MS).
Bob Stoops: The former Oklahoma head coach may be exploring a return to coaching.
