Buffalo Bills: Offensive line coach Juan Castillo will not return, per CBS Sports’s Jason La Canfora.
Kliff Kingsbury: USC’s new offensive coordinator is expected to conduct head coaching interviews with the Arizona Cardinals and New York Jets, according to Yahoo’s Charles Robinson.
Cleveland Browns: The team has shared that they’ve completed their interview with interim head coach and defensive coordinator Gregg Williams.
Detroit Lions: The Lions and offensive coordinator Jim Bob Cooter have mutually agreed to part ways, per multiple reports.
Oklahoma: Lincoln Riley has talked all along like a man with no plans to leave Norman despite the NFL’s considerable interest in him, and a contract extension announced Tuesday proves that.
Kentucky: Following their bowl win over Penn State to get them to 10-wins on the season, Mark Stoops has picked up another $250k bonus (bringing his yearly bonus total to $1 million), and another one-year contract extension, per Steve Berkowitz. Stoops led UK to its best season in 40 years in 2018.
Ohio State: Multiple outlets are reporting that Oklahoma State offensive coordinator Mike Yurcich is expected to join the Ohio State staff, and while his official title isn’t known yet, he’s widely expected to coach the quarterbacks. Here’s what we had on that move last night.
Indiana Wesleyan (NAIA – IN): Indiana Wesleyan is in search of a full-time offensive line coach. Seeking candidates who will embody the intentional Christian mission at IWU. Mansfield (Sprint – PA): Mansfield University seeks to interview for position coaches at the AFCA Convention in San Antonio. In-person interviews only. The job will start mid August and last until December 14. The pay will be $2500-3000 and will include housing in a new dorm with AC, WiFi, own bathroom, microwave and refrigerator. Ferrrs State (D-II – MI): Ferris State has two open dates in 2019. We are looking for games on 9/14/2019 and 11/16/2019. Open to FCS and D2 opponents. Both willing to travel or to play at home. Henderson State (D-II – AR): Henderson State has an immediate opening for a defensive assistant. This is a full time position that comes with full benefits . A Bachelor’s degree is required and college-coaching experience with Linebackers or on the defensive line is preferred. Experience with Hudl, data entry, and graphic design is a plus. This position will come with a recruiting area. We will be conducting interviews at the AFCA convention in San Antonio for this position. Abilene Christian (FCS – TX): Per source, Abilene Christian has shuffled staff responsibilities on the defensive side of the ball and will have a full-time job coaching the corners open. We understand that they will hold interviews for the job at the AFCA convention.
New York Jets: The Jets are expected to interview former Packers head coach Mike McCarthy for the head coaching job, per Ian Rapoport.
Atlanta Falcons: Former Bucs head coach Dirk Koetter will interview for the offensive coordinator opening on Dan Quinn’s staff, per Ian Rapoport. The Falcons will also interview former Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell, per multiple previous reports.
Miami Dolphins: Special teams coordinator / assistant head coach Darren Rizzi will interview for the team’s head coaching job, per Albert Breer.
Arizona Cardinals: Former Dolphins head coach Adam Gase is scheduled to take his initial head coaching interview of the off season with the Cardinals on Wednesday, per Adam Schefter.
Louisburg College (JC – NC): Louisburg College, a private junior college, has an opening for a defensive assistant coach. This is a 10 month position that will begin in January, compensation is; 5K, room, board, and full benefits. Please email resume and references to head coach Trevor Highfield at [email protected].
Houston: It is now Jan. 1, which means Houston is expected to announce Dana Holgorsen’s hiring any moment now. Brett McMurphy adds that David Gibbs, who served as the UH defensive coordinator from 2013-14 before joining Texas Tech in the same capacity, will be Holgo’s defensive coordinator.
Kennesaw State (FCS – GA): Per source, Villa Rica High School head coach Rico Zackery is set to join the Kennesaw State staff as a defensive assistant.
Pat Fitzgerald: In the face of the Green Bay Packers’ rumored interest, the Northwestern head coach stated emphatically after his Holiday Bowl win Monday night that Evanston is home forever.
Missouri Southern (D-II): Per sources, the staff of Jeff Sims is as follows; Josh Hager (DC), Jesse Ornelas (ILBs), Jon Clark (CBs), John Powers (OL), Tom Leogrande (TEs), Daniel McKinney (WRs), Keiki Misipeka (RBs), and Nathan Morris (head S&C). Retained from the previous staff are Casey Carlo (OLBs), Joe Bettasso (safeties). Also, we understand Sims plans to interview offensive coordinator candidates at the AFCA convention.
Abilene Christian (FCS – TX): Abilene Christian University located in Abilene, Texas has immediate openings for volunteer assistant positions for both offense and defense. This is strictly a VOLUNTEER position; there is NO compensation, housing OR benefits. Position includes, but is not limited to: assisting with a position on the field and in the meeting room, video editing/coordinating, film sharing, manage and direct scout team, weekly data input, weekly analytics, and other duties assigned by the head coach. Ideal candidates are super-organized and have extreme knowledge in Hudl/video editing, proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint and other computer skills. NY Jets: Bucs offensive coordinator Todd Monken will interview for the Jets head coaching job early next week, per Rick Stroud.
Tampa Bay Bucs: The Bucs have requested an interview with Vikings defensive coordinator George Edwards, per Tom Pelisserro.
