Oklahoma State: Former Kansas State offensive line coach Charlie Dickey is joining the Oklahoma State staff in the same capacity.
Florida: Source tells FootballScoop defensive coordinator Todd Grantham will remain on Dan Mullen’s staff. Grantham had been a strong candidate for the same role with the Cincinnati Bengals.
Oregon: Per a report tonight from 247, defensive coordinator Jim Leavitt is leaving the Oregon program and the Ducks plan to promote from within to replace him.
FIU: Former Texas State head coach Everett Withers will be the new defensive coordinator at FIU Brett McMurphy tweets.
BYU: Source tells FootballScoop BYU is planning to hire Eric Mateos as offensive line coach. Mateos, who was at LSU February 2016 – February 2017 with BYU offensive coordinator Jeff Grimes who then was LSU’s offensive line coach, coached offensive line at Texas State the past two seasons. Mateos will be filling the role vacated by Ryan Pugh (who also worked with Grimes at LSU) who left to become offensive coordinator at Troy.

Northern Illinois: Thomas Hammock has completed his staff with the additions of Atif Austin (RBs / STC), Houston Jones (WRs), and Tony Sorrentino (TEs). Austin coached the running backs for the Patriots last season and previously coached at North Dakota State (FCS) for four seasons, Jones worked as the passing game coordinator / quarterbacks coach at Concordia St. Paul (D-II – MN) the last three seasons, and Sorrentino joins the staff after serving as the DFO for Lane Kiffin at FAU. Salaries: The highest-paid wide receivers coaches in college football (are surprisingly not that well paid?).
San Antonio Commanders (AAF): Per source, former Liberty assistant Josh Bookbinder is joining the Commanders’ staff for the remainder of the season.
Wheaton (D-III – IL): CJ Nightingale, a 2014 graduate of Wheaton, has been named defensive coordinator for the Wheaton program. Nightingale returns to his alma mater after two seasons on staff at Indiana Wesleyan coaching the linebackers. Prior to that he coached the secondary at Greenville University (D-III – IL).
Vanderbilt: As FootballScoop first reported, Vandy has officially promoted quarterbacks coach Gerry Gdowski to offensive coordinator. Additionally, the ‘Dores have hired former Tennessee Titans and Austin Peay assistant Nick Eason as defensive line coach, former Arkansas and Auburn running backs coach Tim Horton to the same post, and former Detroit Lions assistant special teams coach Devin Fitzsimmons as tight ends coach and special teams coordinator. Derek Mason also announced that Quinshon Odom has returned to the Commodores as an offensive quality control. Odum served as a Vanderbilt offensive graduate assistant from 2016-17 & spent the 2018 season as a scout with the Green Bay Packers.
Trinity International (NAIA – IL): Secondary coach / co-defensive coordinator Evan Nunez has accepted the head coaching job at El Dorado HS (Las Vegas, NV), per source.
VMI (FCS): Marshall Roberts has joined the staff as defensive backs coach / pass game coordinator and Kyle Jolly has been announced as offensive line coach. Jolly joins the staff after coaching the offensive line at Concord (D-II – WV) last season, and Roberts had been on the Liberty staff where he’d worked with the defensive backs since 2004.
Widener (D-III – PA): Offensive coordinator / offensive line coach Mike Barainyak has been promoted to head coach. Barainyak spent the last two seasons on staff, and prior to joining the staff served as the tight ends / assistant offensive line coach at Mary-Hardin Baylor (D-III – TX).
UW-Stout (D-III): University of Wisconsin-Stout is seeking applicants for an offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach. This is a full-time, salaried position, with benefits. Bachelor’s degree required, masters preferred. Experience in recruiting on and off-campus in the mid-west is required and will be a major part of the position. Oklahoma State: Koy McFarland, who worked last season as a defensive graduate assistant at Louisiana Tech, has joined the Oklahoma State staff as a defensive quality control coach.
Furman (FCS – SC): Rod Ojong, who spent last season coaching the corners at Austin Peay (FCS – TN), has joined the Furman staff as corners coach. Prior to Austin Peay, Ojong spent time as a defensive graduate assistant at North Carolina and also worked on staffs at Memphis, West Georgia (D-II), Lindsey Wilson (NAIA – KY), and Monmouth (D-III – IL).
San Diego State: The Aztecs have formally announced the addition of Brady Hoke as defensive line coach.
Oregon: Source tells FootballScoop that Texas Tech outside receivers coach Jovon Bouknight is expected to join the Oregon staff as receivers coach. Bouknight spent the past ten seasons on staff with new Texas Tech head coach Matt Wells at Utah State, coaching the outside receivers the past two seasons before leaving for Lubbock with Wells in early December of 2018.
Eastern Kentucky (FCS): Former Eastern Kentucky head coach Danny Hope, who led the program from 2003-07, has returned to his alma mater as offensive line coach. Hope went 35-22 overall including an impressive 32-8 mark in Ohio Valley Conference play. Following the 2007 season, Hope joined the Purdue staff as associate head coach and then took over as head coach in West Lafayette for four seasons from 2009-12. Hope most recently served as the co-offensive coordinator / offensive line coach at South Florida in 2015.
Rice: Offensive coordinator Jerry Mack has added the title of associate head coach.
LA Rams: Albert Breer tweets that with Wes Phillips coming on as tight ends coach, passing game coordinator Shane Waldron, who coached the tight ends last season, will move to quarterbacks and the team plans to hire an assistant quarterbacks coach to work with Waldron. Breer also adds that senior offensive assistant Jedd Fisch is being promoted to assistant coordinator / offense.
William & Mary (FCS – VA): Mike London has completed his coaching staff with the additions of Keenan Carter (DL) and Matt Johns (WRs / TEs). Carter coached the defensive line on London’s staff at Howard the past two seasons and Johns served as a defensive graduate assistant at Virginia last season.
Carolina Panthers: The team has announced a number of moves, including Everette Brown has been named assistant linebackers coach, Ben Jacobs is the assistant special teams coach, and defensive line coach Sam Mills III has added game management coach responsibilities.
Army: Matt Drinkall (quality control), Kevin Lewis (DL), and Matt Hachmann (OLBs) have all now been formally announced as new members of Jeff Monken’s staff. Hachmann spent the past two seasons coaching the linebackers at Stony Brook (FCS – NY) and prior to that spent eight years at Towson (FCS – MD) as the defensive coordinator, Lewis just wrapped up five years coaching the defensive line at William & Mary (FCS – VA), and Drinkall comes after serving as head coach at Kansas Wesleyan (NAIA).

Cincinnati Bengals: The defensive coordinator search has narrowed to focus on Florida defensive coordinator Todd Grantham, Ian Rapoport tweets. Rap adds that Grantham is back in the Bengals building today.
Central Missouri (D-II): Defensive coordinator Wes Bell has been named head coach at El Dorado HS (KS).
North Park (D-III – IL): North Park is no longer accepting applications for their full-time assistant coaching position. Thank you for the overwhelming interest.
North Greenville (D-II – NC): Malcom Dixon and Brad Robbins, both of whom coached at Charleston Southern (FCS) in 2018, have joined the North Greenville staff, per source. Dixon will coach the wide receivers while Robbins will work as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach.
Briar Cliff (NAIA – IA): Briar Cliff University is seeking a graduate assistant defensive line coach . Qualifications include acceptance into graduate school (2.8 minimum GPA. No exceptions) Must have college playing experience in the defensive line or 2 years coaching experience in defensive line. Compensation package include 10 month 5,000 stipend, free on campus meals and full tuition waiver. Position review to begin immediately. Starting date is March 1st 2019. Santa Monica (JC – CA): Kelly Ledwith, a participant in January’s 35 under 35 Leadership Institute with the AFCA, has had the interim tag removed and been named head coach of the program moving forward.
