Denver: 49ers quarterbacks coach Rich Scangarello is expected to be the new offensive coordinator for the Broncos per Tom Pelissero and Mike Klis.

Alabama: Defensive coordinator Tosh Lupoi has interviewed with the Cleveland Browns tweets Matt Zenitz who covers Alabama. Zenitz adds that several sources expect him to wind up in Cleveland. FootballScoop has heard that multiple other college programs have discussed hiring Tosh over the past few weeks. Stay tuned…. And….. Tosh is headed to Cleveland to coach the defensive line now per multliple reports.

Maryland: Sources tell FootballScoop Mike Locksley has offered his defensive coordinator job to an SEC assistant.

Grad assistant forum: Great stuff from the most recent grad assistant forum.

Michigan: Sources tell FootballScoop that Arizona State defensive line coach Shaun Nua is joining the Wolverines staff as defensive line coach.

Tampa Bay Bucs: The Bucs have now announced the addition of the following coaches (many of which we’ve reported on already); Tim Atkins (defensive QC), Chris Boniol (specialists), Mike Caldwell (ILBs), Mike Chiurco (assistant to the HC), Clyde Christensen (QBs), Rick Christophel (TEs), Larry Foote (OLBs), Kevin Garver (WRs), Joe Gilbert (OL), Cody Grimm (defensive / special teams assistant), Amos Jones (assistant special teams coach), Byron Leftwich (OC), Todd McNair (RBs), Atwaan Randle El (offensive assistant), Nick Rapone (safeties), Kacy Rodgers (DL), Kevin Ross (corners), John Van Dam (offensive QC). The Bucs release notes that Leftwich will call the offensive plays on game day.

Austin Peay (FCS – TN): Eddy Morrissey has been formally announced as offensive line coach / run game coordinator. Morrissey spent last season in an offensive quality control / assistant offensive line role at Mississippi State.

Cincinnati Bengals: Zac Taylor is interested in landing Redskins offensive line coach Bill Callahan as his offensive line coach, Jason La Canfora tweets.

Pittsburgh Steelers: The Steelers are expected to hire NC State tight ends / fullbacks coach and special teams coordinator Eddie Faulkner as their new running backs coach, Ian Rapoport tweets.

Brevard (D-III – NC): Source tells FootballScoop that following the departure of defensive coordinator Kurt Gouveia, head coach Bill Khayat has elevated co-special teams coordinator / corners coach Luke Jaicks to the defensive coordinator position. Jaicks will continue to coach the corners we understand. In addition, co-special teams coordinator / safeties coach Jeron Gouveia will now add special teams coordinator duties and assistant linebackers coach Randy Finley has been elevated to linebackers coach.

Dakota Wesleyan (NAIA): Sources tell FootballScoop that quarterbacks / wide receivers coach Matt Kloss will not be returning to the staff.

Concordia (D-III – Moorhead, MN): Concordia College, located in Moorhead, Minnesota has two (2) offensive restricted earnings positions available on staff. Bachelor’s degree required. 9K per year with some meals included. No housing or benefits. Will coach own position group, assist offensive coordinator with breakdowns and game plan, have own recruiting territory, and other duties as assigned by head coach or administration.  Experience as collegiate player preferred. Best candidates available regardless of position.  Tentative dates of employment: Feb 15th 2019 – January 31st2020. Wingate (D-II – NC): Dillon Tucker has been promoted from graduate assistant to full-time tight ends and fullbacks coach, per source.

Detroit Lions: Former Seahawks offensive coordinator Darrell Bevell has been hired as the Lions new offensive coordinator.

Cleveland Browns: The Browns have hired former Cardinals defensive coordinator Al Holcomb as linebackers coach / run game coordinator, per multiple reports

Washington: Source tells FootballScoop barring an unexpected snag, Washington plans to hire Junior Adams to fill the receivers role vacated by Matt Lubick. Adams, who served as offensive coordinator at Western Kentucky last season, and who had just been hired at App State about 10 days ago, has three years coaching experience at Boise State, five years at Eastern Washington and played at Oregon State and Montana State so he’s familiar with the lay of the land in the Pacific Northwest.

Alabama: Sources at Maryland tell FootballScoop Butch Jones plans to remain at Alabama. The former Tennessee head coach spent this past season as an analyst for Nick Saban.

Fort Lewis (D-II – CO): Associate head coach Brandon Crosby, who joined the staff in February of last year as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach, has been named interim head coach of the program. Crosby steps into the role vacated by Joe Morris, who left to become the defensive coordinator at West Texas (D-II). Also, former Fort Lewis head coach Ed Rifilato is joining the staff as defensive coordinator. Rifilato spent last season on the staff at Dixie State (D-II – UT), and has spent two stints as the head coach at Fort Lewis.

NY Jets: Gregg Williams has officially been announced as defensive coordinator, and the team has announced that Brant Boyer has been retained as special teams coordinator.

Delta State (D-II – MS): Geoff Terry, who previously served as the corners coach at Wingate (D-II – NC), has accepted the defensive backs job, per source.

Rocky Mountain (NAIA): Montana State (FCS) graduate assistant Joe Dunning has taken the defensive coordinator job at Rocky Mountain College, per source.

North Dakota State (FCS): University of Jamestown (NAIA – ND) head coach Josh Kittell will join Matt Entz’ staff as recruiting coordinator sources tell FootballScoop. After serving as offensive coordinator at Jamestown for the 2014 season, Kittell went to NDSU as an offensive quality control for the 2015 season. He returned to Jamestown in December 2015 as head coach.

Texas College (NAIA): Texas College, located in Tyler, TX is looking to fill 4 intern positions. We are looking for 2 offensive and 2 defensive coaches. These positions are unpaid positions with the potential to coach your own group & carry out other responsibilities per the Head Coach. There are no meal plans or housing associated with the position. We will be looking for the best candidates that can help with the following responsibilities: coaching a position, recruiting, class checks, data entry, HUDL input/breakdowns, and MS Office/Google Docs skills. Arizona Cardinals: The Cardinals interviewed longtime NFL assistant Tom Clements for their offensive coordinator job yesterday, Tom Pelissero tweets. Clements has worked with quarterbacks at Notre Dame, and in the NFL with the Saints, Chiefs, Steelers, and Packers and served as offensive coordinator with the Bills and Packers.

Pittsburgh Steelers: Shaun Sarrett, who served as the team’s assistant offensive line coach last season, has been promoted to offensive line coach. He steps in for Mike Munchak who left for the same position with the Broncos.

Troy: Akron defensive line coach Davern Williams, who spent last season coaching the defensive line at UT-Chattanooga (FCS), is expected to become the new defensive line coach at Troy, Bruce Feldman tweets.

Kansas State: Monday we reported that the Bears were interested in hiring new Kansas State defensive coordinator Ted Monachino. Today, GoPowercat is confirming he is leaving K-State to join the Bears’ staff.

Arkansas State: No coach has more on their plate this off-season than Blake Anderson…

Alabama: Former Panthers wide receivers coach Lance Taylor interviewed for the Tide’s vacant receivers coach position and is a “strong candidate” to land the job, per BamaInsider.

Tulane: Source tells FootballScoop Willie Fritz is expected to hire University of Georgia grad assistant Cody Kennedy as his offensive line coach at Tulane. Prior to joining the staff at Georgia, Kennedy had coached offensive line at West Georgia and had been at West Alabama with new Tulane offensive coordinator Will Hall. Kennedy played his college ball nearby at Southeastern Louisiana.

Brown (FCS): Willie Edwards, the head coach at Moses Brown HS (RI), has left to become an assistant coach on the Brown staff, per source. Edwards leaves Moses Brown after fourteen season and two state titles.

Maryland: New offensive coordinator Scottie Montgomery and John Reagan were out recruiting for the Terps today. Reagan, who served the past few seasons as offensive coordinator at Penn (FCS), will coach the offensive line. He previously served as offensive coordinator at Kansas and Rice.

Jacksonville: The Jaguars plan to hire former Vikings offensive coordinator John DeFilippo as their new offensive coordinator tweets Ian Rapoport.

New York Jets: Gregg Williams has agreed to a three year deal to serve as defensive coordinator of the Jets tweets Ian Rapoport.

Troy: Sources tell FootballScoop Louisiana Monroe receivers / recruiting coordinator John Carr is expected to join Chip Lindsey’s staff as inside receivers / passing game coordinator. Prior to joining Matt Viator’s staff at ULM, Carr spent two seasons as assistant head coach / offensive coordinator at Jones County (JC – MS) and before that three seasons with Todd Monken’s staff at Southern Miss. From 2005-12 Carr was head coach at Ouachita Parish High School (LA).

Northern State (D-II – SD): John Roy, the offensive line coach / run game coordinator at Rocky Mountain College (NAIA – MT) the past three seasons, has been hired as offensive line coach, per source.. Roy has also previously coached at New Mexico Military, Southern Illinois, and Southern Oregon.

Busto Arsizio Blue Storms (Italy): Defiance College (D-III – OH) wide receivers coach Wayne Anderson has been named head coach / offensive coordinator, per source.

College football playoff selection committee: The CFP announced three new voting members today: Terry Mohajir, Retired General Ray Odierno and RC Slocum. The three replace Jeff Bower, Herb Deromedi and Bobby Johnson.

Toronto Argonauts (CFL): Source tells FootballScoop Richmond defensive line coach Carey Bailey has accepted a defensive line position with the Argos. Bailey has defensive line and linebacker experience with Richmond, Chattanooga, the Giants, Lamar, the Falcons, Howard, Minnesota & more.

Green Bay Packers: The Packers have officially announced Nathaniel Hackett as their offensive coordinator. Hackett previously called the offense for the Jaguars the past four seasons.

Mike Leach: “I think the stupidity of the NFL hits a new low every time I hear this.”

UConn: Lou Spanos has been announced as the team’s defensive coordinator. Spanos spent last season as a defensive analyst at Alabama and prior to that he coached the linebackers for the Tennessee Titans from 2014-18 & served as the defensive coordinator at UCLA in 2012-13.

Richmond (FCS – VA): Quarterbacks coach Aaron Corp and defensive line coach Carey Bailey have moved on to different opportunities and won’t be a part of the staff moving forward, while offensive coordinator Jeff Durden is now coaching the quarterbacks, head coach Russ Huesman shared.

Limestone (D-II – SC): Kutztown (D-II – PA) defensive coordinator Eric Fargo has joined the Limestone staff in the same capacity (coming from Kutztown University), and Derek Burnett (DBs) and Coy DeWeese (DL) are being retained from the previous staff. Also, Cliff Matthews is joining the staff working with the defensive line after a playing career that included the Falcons & Ottawa RedHawks (CFL).

Kansas: Les Miles has now announced the addition of Edward Jones II (director of player development), Will Redmond (director of recruiting), and Mike Huff (director of operations). Jones II spent the past three years in the same role at Houston, Redmond spend three years as the director of player personnel at Middle Tennessee, and Huff spent six years as Georgia Tech’s director of football operations. Also, Tyler Olker, who had served as the director of recruiting, is being retained and will move to a director of recruiting operations role.

Dodge City (JC – KS): Dodge City Community College is looking for a full time WR / Special Teams Coordinator. The salary is 34K and comes with benefits. If interested, please send resume to [email protected].

Allegheny (D-III – PA): Allegheny College is currently accepting applications for a Head Football Coach. Allegheny offers full health and retirement benefits in addition to a competitive salary range. A Bachelor’s degree is required; however, a Master’s degree is strongly preferred. Candidates are responsible for the administration and management of all aspects of a highly successful and competitive varsity football program. The ideal candidate will have previous college playing and coaching experience with a strong understanding of the DIII philosophy and its role at a private liberal arts institution. Cincinnati Bengals: Frank Pollack will not return after one season with the franchise, according to multiple reports.

South Dakota (FCS): Travis Johansen, who spent the past six seasons at Grandview (NAIA – IA) as defensive coordinator, has been hired as the programs new defensive coordinator. Johansen replaces Brian Mohnsen, whose contract wasn’t renewed after the 2018 season.

Denver Broncos: The team has reached an agreement with Bears secondary coach Ed Donatell to be their defensive coordinator, per Mike Klis’ tweet.

Arizona Cardinals: Former Broncos defensive backs coach Marcus Robertson is being added to the Cardinals staff in the same capacity, per Ian Rapoport.

San Francisco 49ers: Joe Woods, who most recently served as the defensive coordinator with the Broncos, is joining the staff as passing game coordinator, Mike Garafolo tweets. Also, Matt Maiocco adds that Kris Kocurek is being hired as defensive line coach.

Mars Hill (D-II – NC): Mars Hill University is looking to fill two dates in 2021. Our available dates are September 4, 2021 and September 11, 2021. Would like one of those dates to be an FCS. Willing to play NAIA, D3 & D2 as well. Interested programs contact Thomas Reese at [email protected]
