Southern Miss: Louisiana Monroe offensive coordinator Matt Kubik will be the new offensive coordinator at Southern Miss, Pete Thamel tweets. Kubik’s offense at ULM last season ranked in the top 25 in rushing and total offense this past season.

Kentucky: Vince Marrow has decided to remain at Kentucky. Why that’s huge news.

Michigan State: Mark Dantonio announced he was retiring on February 4th. In documents revealed to MLive, we see that DHR’s Glenn Sugiyama sent a contract to Michigan State on January 23rd and that contract was fully executed on January 31st. DHR was paid $100,000 for their services during the search.

UNLV: Shelby McIntyre has accepted the director of recruiting position at UNLV. She was on staff at North Texas.

Minnesota: AD Mark Coyle has received an extension through 2026.

Arizona: Kevin Sumlin has hired AJ Steward away from BYU to serve as his running backs coach. Steward spent the past two seasons at BYU. Prior to that he spent six seasons at Rice.

South Carolina: Bryan McClendon remains on staff amid interest from multiple NFL teams, former Gamecock Rod Wilson is set to join the staff in the coming days, and Bobby Bentley will coach Carolina’s running backs while new hire Joe Cox will remain at tight ends, according to Gamecock Central.

Louisiana-Lafayette: Source tells FootballScoop that former Mercer (FCS – GA) head coach Bobby Lamb is joining the staff as a senior analyst.

Monterey Peninsula College (CC – CA): Ronnie Palmer has been hired as head coach at Monterey Peninsula.

Union College (NAIA – KY): Union College is looking for applicants who are interested in finishing their undergraduate degree as well as getting into coaching at the college level. We also have undergraduate scholarship money available for anybody interested in being a manager or who has Graphic/Video Design experience! Oregon: Oregon is working on a multi-year extension for head coach Mario Cristobal, per John Canzano of The Oregonian. Cristobal, the reigning Pac-12 and Rose Bowl champion, is under contract through 2024 and made $2.6 million in 2019.

Vince Marrow: Thanks to a confluence of factors, Kentucky’s tight ends coach and recruiting coordinator has become the subject of one of the most intense bidding wars for a tight ends coach in college football history.

Michigan State: Jim Bollman, who coached the Spartans offensive line, and served as tight ends coach and offensive coordinator prior to that, is now retired. Bollman previously coached at Purdue, Boston College, Ohio State, Virginia, Youngstown State, NC State, Miami and in the NFL with the Eagles and Bears.

Eastern Illinois: Source tells FootballScoop that head coach Adam Cushing has promoted safeties coach Neal Renna and running backs coach Omar Young both to co-special teams coordinator roles.

Michigan State: Mel Tucker’s first action as the new head Spartan shows why a head coach shouldn’t wait until February to step down.

South Carolina: Defensive line coach Tracy Rocker will make $525,000 annually , Josh Kendall tweets.

Jackson State (FCS): Per source, Eric Gallon is joining the staff as an offensive assistant. Gallon previously coached at Tennessee Tech (FCS) and Youngstown State (FCS) and spent last year at Brevard College (D-III – NC) as assistant head coach / running backs coach.

Springfield College (D-III – MA): Springfield College is looking for an opponent for a home and home series for 2021 and 2022 with the possibility to extend to a longer contract. The dates we have open are September 11th, 2021 and September 10th, 2022 or October 16th, 2021 and October 15th, 2022. Please contact Lou DiRienzo for more information at [email protected]. Vince Marrow: Matt Jones of Kentucky Sports Radio tweets this morning that Michigan State has come with a second higher offer to Kentucky tight ends coach Vince Marrow and that a decision is expected by Marrow today. Yesterday, it was reported that Kentucky had matched Michigan State’s original offer.

Kansas: Sources tells FootballScoop that Kansas is (once again) hiring one of the top minds in small college football.

Knox (D-III – IL): Knox College seeks applications for a full-time defensive assistant coach (prefer defensive backs or linebackers) with possible co-coordinator responsibilities with other duties as a sports information assistant. Salary is in the mid 20’s plus benefits with additional summer camp compensation available. Candidates must have a Bachelor’s degree, college recruiting and college coaching experience. Tiffin (D-II – OH): Tiffin University is seeking multiple graduate assistants. Candidates must possess collegiate playing and/or coaching experience, be passionate about pursuing a career in coaching at the collegiate level and meet the admissions standards of your desired graduate program. This position includes coaching your own position, managing your own recruiting area and any other duties assigned by the head coach. The position includes a $5,000 scholarship towards graduate school and a meal plan with NO housing or benefits. Michigan State: The details of Mel Tucker’s contract are now out, and here’s our take on what it took to get that deal.

Fairleigh Dickinson (D-III – NJ): Following a national search, the school has removed the interim tag from Jimmy Robertson and named him the 5th head coach in the 45 year history of the program. Before being named interim head coach, Robertson served as offensive coordinator / quarterbacks coach.

Southern Oregon (NAIA): Former Northern Arizona (FCS) head coach Jerome Souers has accepted the defensive coordinator position. Souers went 123-114 leading the NAU program from 1998-2018.

Bethel (NAIA – TN): Source tells FootballScoop that Richard Hutchings will be retained as offensive line coach / run game coordinator.

Millsaps (D-III – MS): Millsaps College is seeking an experienced defensive line coach. This is a full-time 10 month position. Responsibilities include position coaching duties and a recruiting territory as well as weekly scouting reports, film breakdown, and all other duties assigned by the Head Coach. Qualifications: no less than 4 years of college coaching experience; experience with DVSport, HUDL, Front Rush, and Microsoft Office preferred.  Review of applicant materials will begin immediately, with the start date of March 6th.
