UCLA: Citing distrust in Chip Kelly’s program to act in their best interest, a group of UCLA players asked for third-party oversight of COVID protocols for all Bruins football activities. More here. SUNY Cortland (D-III – NY): Patrick Rotchford has been named the new offensive coordinator at SUNY Cortland. Rotchford previously spent the past six seasons as the run game coordinator / offensive line coach at Morrisville State (D-III – NY).
Tampa Bay Bucs: One Bucs assistant has tested positive for COVID-19 and two additional assistants are being quarantined, according to multiple reports.
West Alabama (D-II): The University of West Alabama is seeking applicants for an immediate defensive graduate assistant position. This is a great opportunity for a young coach looking to gain on the field and recruiting experience. Prior coaching experience is preferred, but not required. Applicants are preferred to have experience with the following software‘s: Microsoft Excel, Visio, Hudl and PowerPoint. The position will cover graduate tuition and provide small stipend. McNeese State (FCS – LA): Per source, former DFO Jimmy Fowler is joining the Santa Fe HS (TX) staff to reunite with Eric Thompson. The two previously worked together at Houston Austin HS (TX) back in 2017.
Georgetown (FCS – Washington, DC): Georgetown University has an immediate opening for an offensive quality control position. This is strictly a volunteer position and there is NO compensation or housing. Ideal candidates must have high energy and want to coach. Northeastern State (D-II – OK): Northeastern State University, located in Tahlequah, OK, is seeking a highly motivated candidate for an Offensive Line Graduate Assistant. Candidates will be responsible for assisting with the offensive line, recruiting a geographical area, film breakdown/editing on HUDL, and other duties assigned by the Head Coach and Offensive Coordinator. Compensation includes: A 10-Month Stipend, Tuition, and Meal plan. Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree Required, must qualify for and be accepted into a graduate program at NSU. Candidates must have prior experience playing and/or coaching offensive line, high energy, great work ethic, excellent communication skills, a passion for offensive line play, and ability to build and cultivate great relationships.
